The Ride-On Motor Formula can be used for all tour/race/cross/endure/off-road motorcycles. The gel forms a coating layer on the tire tread that doesn’t dry out but remains liquid and active for the entire lifespan of the tire. The formula contains corrosion inhibitors and doesn’t affect tires and rims. It also stays exactly where it should, inside the tire, so no mess in the garage!

Ride-On Tire Protection is a unique sealant and balancing gel in one formula. Ride-On seals tires, keeps tire pressure optimal, prevents flat tires and balances. With Ride-On, you’ll benefit from more safety, less inconvenience, reduced fuel costs and a longer tire lifespan.


Ride-On works with the centrifugal forces in the tire and seals the tire tread. This coating reduces porosity up to 500%, allowing tires to maintain their pressure much longer. This reduces rolling resistance and tire wear and lets tires last 25% longer.


The Ride-On gel contains aramid fibers which are six times stronger than steel. These fibers seal punctures permanently and within seconds, without noticeable pressure loss. The risk of a flat tire or blowout reduces significantly.


Ride-On also hydrodynamically balances the tire/rim combination, for optimal rolling resistance, more driving comfort and reduced fuel consumption. Wobbly tires are easily fixed without the need of extra balancing weights or powder.

Installation Instructions

You’ll need

  • Air compressor
  • Scissors
  • Safety glasses


Step 1. Rotate the tire so that the valve stem is positioned at 4 or 8 o’clock

If there is a cap covering the valve stem, remove it. 

Step 2. Remove the valve core

Place the provided valve core removal tool onto the valve and unscrew it by turning counterclockwise. This will allow you to remove the valve core and deflate the tire.

Step 3. Slide the provided hose onto the valve

Step 4. Place the hose onto the bottle

Take the cap off the Ride-On bottle. Cut the tip of the bottle at the indicated line so the gel can easily go through.

Attention: Make sure when you cut that the hose can still fit on the bottle tip.

Tip: If you prefer you can also place the bottle tip directly (without hose) on the valve.

Step 5. Squeeze the entire contents of the bottle into the tire.

Step 6. Use the compressor to put a bit of air into the tire

Injecting a short burst of air will clear the valve stem.

Step 7. Reinstall the valve core

Screw the valve core back in by turning it clockwise with the provided tool. Do not overtighten. Inflate the tire to the recommended pressure.

Tip: If you’re not sure about the right pressure, this can often be found on a sticker on the inside of the car door, the fuel cap or your car’s instruction manual.

Step 8. Repeat the steps for the other tires.

The tire is now successfully filled with Ride-On. Starting back at step 1, repeat the steps until all the tires have been treated.

When all tires have been successfully filled with Ride-On, it is time for the final step:

Step 9. Drive your vehicle so the Ride-On can spread evenly over the tire tread.

Drive 5 to 10 kilometers to allow Ride-On to spread sufficiently. You may experience a slight vibration at first, but this will wear off as you drive further and the formula spreads out.

Attention: Ride-On needs to be run in at every speed, so the vibrations may reoccur as you speed up. Eventually the Ride-On will coat the tires evenly and balance out.

If you have very large tires, we recommend you start off driving slowly. The Ride-On will need a bit more time to spread.

What is Ride-On?

Ride-On Tire Protection is a high-tech tire sealant, developed to prevent flat tires, seal punctures and increase tire lifespan. Different from other sealants, Ride-On is a water-based gel which doesn’t harden. Ride-On contains no glue or latex and is easily removable from tires. The product is safe for tires and rims thanks to corrosion inhibitors and lasts for the entire lifespan of the tire. The gel contains fibers which are pushed towards punctures by the centrifugal forces inside the tire and permanently seal them. Furthermore, Ride-On is the only sealant available that also hydrodynamically balances the tire/rim combination.

How does Ride-On work?

Ride-On seals 85-95% of all punctures on the tire tread caused by nails, screws, thorns, junk on the road – any sharp object up to 6.4 mm in diameter. Ride-On reduces the porosity of the tire by 500% and lowers the temperature, for less oxidation in the tire. Tires maintain proper pressure much longer and stay cooler, causing them to wear 25% less. How can I remove Ride-On from my tires?

Ride-On is a water-based gel and can easily be removed with a water vacuum or moist cloth. 

How does Ride-On balance tires?

Ride-On is a fluid and balances in a hydrodynamic way. The centrifugal forces in the tire move the gel around, creating an even layer that’s thicker or thinner in the places where it is needed. The gel attaches to the tire and effectively resolves any imbalance. It works much the same way as balancing powders or -beads, with the added benefits of a sealant.

Does Ride-On work effectively in combination with other products?

It is not recommended to apply Ride-On to tires that already contain other sealants or balancing products.

Can Ride-On be used in combination with TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems)?

Ride-On is safe to use with TPMS, provided that they are hermetically sealed. 

How does Ride-On realize fuel savings?

Fuel consumption is closely linked to rolling resistance and tire pressure. Even a small deviation from the recommended pressure can cause an increase in fuel consumption. By letting tires maintain their pressure longer as well as balancing them, Ride-On creates the optimal rolling resistance for a comfortable ride. Depending on driving style, Ride-On fuel savings are on average reduced by 3%.

I removed an object from my tire, but the hole doesn’t close. Why is that?

Ride-On contains fibers that seal the puncture. If the fibers are larger than the puncture itself, it may help to make the hole a bit bigger.

Did you drive the vehicle immediately after removing the object? Ride-On works best when tires are warmed and elastic. Drive 5-10 km for the best results.

If the object had been stuck in the tire for a long time, the rubber has taken the shape of the object and may take a while to bounce back. Driving and warming up the tires helps in this situation as well. Pay close attention to the tire pressure as you drive.

What happens to Ride-On when I don’t drive my vehicle for a long time?

Ride-On is developed so that it attaches to the tire tread and stays there even when the vehicle is stationary for a long time. However, since Ride-On is a liquid, eventually some of it will pool in the bottom of the tire. You may experience light vibrations when you start driving again, but these will wear off as the Ride-On redistributes through the tire.

What happens when I take my tires off the rim?

The Ride-On gel attaches firmly to the inside of your tires. It stays where it should, even when you take the tires off the rim. No mess in the garage!

Does Ride-On repair all leaks?

Ride-On was developed to protect the tire tread from puncturing objects. Depending on the formula, the gel seals punctures from 3 mm to 12.5 mm in diameter.

Ride-On does not reach the shoulder of the tire and doesn’t seal punctures in that area. Ride-On also doesn’t repair rips or tears. If you notice damage outside of the tire tread or that the tire continues to lose pressure, take the tire out of service and consult a specialist. 

I discovered an object in my tire. What should I do?

Ride-On works best when the tires are warm. Therefore you should drive the vehicle for a couple kilometers first. Then you can remove the object. If it’s a nail, thorn or shard of glass you could use tongs. If it’s a screw, use a screwdriver to prevent further damage. Directly after, drive a few kilometers again to allow Ride-On to seal the puncture completely. Have a specialist check your tires as well.

Always remove the object as soon as possible. Although Ride-On may prevent your tires from losing pressure, leaving the object could cause further damage to your tires. Rubber also has a ‘memory’, causing it to stretch and conform to the shape of the puncturing object. It will take longer for the rubber to revert to its old shape and for the leak to be sealed. Your tire may continue to lose pressure as well.
